Hi there! I am an Italian photographer, currently based in the Netherlands. After some time spent backpacking, I ended up in Portugal, place where I found a meaning to the word “home” and where, between my wanderings, I lived for 6 years. I graduated from ETIC in Lisbon and London Metropolitan University (BA), and I’m currently a master’s student of Photography & Society at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.

I am a slow-travel enthusiast, for I believe it's the best way to glimpse the complexity of places, people, and maybe our own selves. Taking the time to observe, and carefully listen, can help us subvert the dominant narratives and deconstruct our bias. I take life as a journey, where it is not the destination that truly counts, but rather the way we embrace the detours and the unplanned. Nonetheless, Ithaca inhabits my mind.

Photography is complementary to my journey, and I use it as a research and expressive tool, to try and frame the deviations I find on my road, engage with communities and foster the creation of “counter narratives”.
